Productions
Dance From the Heart has produced two shows since its inception, and has the third in progress.
Our 2005 Production was a mixed rep, coordinated hastily in response to the SE Asia Tsunami
In 2007, we took a major leap in complexity and style, taking a different approach to many traditional multicultural dance programs. With "Dance of Life - One Path, Many Steps", we introduced the idea of a themed production, based on the aspects of a woman's life. While some choreography was created by Dance From the Heart's director, Anne Caruthers, most of the participants brought their own work forward, utilizing the overall theme. The show received excellent feedback, and provided donations to Lighthouse Houston and the Alzheimer's Association.
This year, we strive to achieve even more ambitious goals. "Domari", the brainchild of Director/Choreographer Anne Caruthers, takes yet another approach to multicultural presentation and goes back in time to 16th Century Scotland. Representing an old issue that is (sadly) still current in today's society, we take a full story approach as we visit the realms of King Henry and Queen Mary in a twenty year span.
